Plot[]

Outside of Seal's old lab, Jason, Dax, Nash, and Seal are attacked by ONC soldiers, where Dax becomes injured by an explosion. Through Dax's point of view, he sees the other three being attacked. Jason comes to Dax's aid and realizes he's hurt, just when Nash is knocked out by a grenade. As Jason takes her position, Seal tells him to return to the Warthog with Nash and Dax, but Jason is soon qucikly knocked out. Seal is also eventually knocked out and the four are captured.

Dax then opens his eyes and finds out that the four have been taken to a prison. Seal blames himself for their troubles and grieves over McGrath. As Nash tries to console him, Seal apologizes to her, Dax, and Jason and promises that he will find a way to escape. Suddenly, an ONC officer, named Colonel Bernard, approaches the four and tells them that their ammo has been taken and they're currently scheduled for execution. Soon afterwards, the head chancellor of the ONC, Chancellor Heinrich Winters, approaches the four and promotes Bernard to Brigadier. He then questions Nash on the location of the Guardians, but the latter sarcastically says that "they've moved." Seal then tells Winters that he will avenge McGrath, but Winters is unphased. Winters then orders Bernard to schedule the four's execution within an hour and to bring Seal to his quarters. As Seal tries to resist capture, Nash attmepts to help him but Bernard melees Nash in the stomach. Seal is eventually taken and led to Winters' office. Winters then tells Dax and Jason that they should have joined him rather than the Guardians, before leaving.

Worried, Dax states that they must save Seal, but Nash tells him to be patient. She then explains that she sent out a distress signal, specifically for Guardians, while they were attacked at the lab, in which Jason realizes that the Guardians may go there rather than the prison. Aware of this, Nash says that they must have faith, leaving Dax and Jason worried.
