At Blue base, Jason & Dax look for Seal. They find him standing behind them, camouflaged into the environment, seeming nearly invisble. Seal explains to them that he incorporated a substance into his armor that allows him to camouflage. Seal also apologizes for trouble he caused, but Dax & Jason tell him not to worry. Jason then decides to start making a plan for their departure. Dax and Jason contemplate on ideas such as: using the Ghost, the tank, the Warthog, and the Hornet. However, all of their ideas have flaws: the Ghost has 1 seat, the tank will not start, Legend won't allow them to use the Hornet, and the Reds' Warthog is destroyed.
Feeling hopeless, Jason walks down the base, when he suddenly sees the Warthog in working condition. As a result, Jason gets an idea of stealing the Warthog and boosting its accelerator, in hopes of outrunning the Guardian Towers. However, he soon realizes the speed would not be fast enough. Nonetheless, Jason & Dax walk out towards the hill in order to find a good escape path. Dax suggests that they might need something other than a vehicle to escape, which only confuses Jason. Legend suddenly appears and suggests they build a tunnel. He tells Jason and Icky to get supplies and swears to help them escape. Seal tells Legend 'thank you', in return for his help.
Meanwhile, Gates loads a Fuel Rod Gun, until Claire walks up to him and tells him to hurry up. He tells her that Fuel Rod is out of ammo. Claire offers to give him her Rocket Launcher but Gates refuses, stating that it's less superior to the Fuel Rod. Claire states that the Rocket Launcher is better because it was made by humans while the Fuel Rod Gun was constucted by the Covenant. Gates says that aliens were "pretty smart", and reveals that his uncle told him stories about the cooperation of humans and aliens after the Great War while he was a scientist. Suddenly, Wilbur radios Claire and tells her & Gates to report back to base. Gates enthusiastically runs back to base in hopes of ammo, while Claire walks back to base very unenthusiastically.
- The scene where Jason talks about his 5th and 8th conversations with HQ is a reference to episodes 5 & 8, the ones where Engineer Thomas appear.
