The Sandbox troops and Guardians fortify their defenses and search for Bernard around the compound. Nash, Miller, and Ichabod scope out the front entrance, Claire and Gates search inside the compound, and Mickey and Bartholomew prep a Prowler. In a nearby area, Dax and Jason guard the entrance to the Pelican when Nash contacts Dax. Dax, however, doesn't respond, so Nash contacts Jason about Bernard's whereabouts. Jason tells Nash that they haven't seen him yet, prompting her to sign off but not before scolding Dax for not answering her earlier. Despite this, Jason looks at Dax in concern, who is clearly distressed.
Outside, Allan attempts to sneak past Mickey and Bart while they prep the Prowler but the two quickly spot him. Allan explains his feelings of guilt for not going after Seal and says that he'll never forgive himself if he doesn't go help. Mickey and Bart, empathetic, allow Allan to leave on the Pelican to follow Seal.
Inside the Pelican, however, Dax and Jason board it and man the controls, preparing to leave to go help Seal themselves. When Jason expresses his concerns about their actions, Dax tells him that if he won't help he can stay behind. As a result, Jason stays with Dax but the two are discovered by Allan. However, Allan explains that he was planning to leave to find Seal too and enlists their help. The two agree but are suddenly found out by Ichabod. Ichabod calls them out as hypocrites for attempting to flee but Dax explains that they're leaving to save Seal not to run from trouble. Feeling guilty, Ichabod decides to tag along, much to Dax's annoyance. However, Allan admits that they could use his help.
Meanwhile, Gates and Claire search inside a bunker, unaware that Bernard is hiding inside nearby. Claire confesses to Gates about the hidden pipeline Mickey and Bart told her and Miller about and tries to explain why she didn't tell him about it when Bernard attacks and knocks out Claire. Gates alerts everyone as a result. Because of this, Allan and the Blues take off, with Dax and Jason having gathered spare armor pieces and Guardian equipment. As Nash, Gates, and Miller corner Bernard outside they spot the Pelican fly off. Just then an ONC Scorpion tank emerges onto the area, much to Bernard's pleasure, and fires at Nash and the Reds.
