In Sandtrap, Dax, Jason, and Seal are seen driving in a Warthog, which they conveniently found on their quest (according to Dax). Jason complains about the radio music playing and tells Dax to turn it off. Dax tries to convince him to keep it on by suggesting to change the genre to country, but this only irritates Jason even more. Dax, however, continues to suggest music and asks Seal about his music suggestion. Seal, however, tells him to get back on task, in which Jason agrees. As a result, Dax reluctantly turns off the music and the three venturers continue on their journey.
Twelve days before, in Sandbox, Claire is seen spying on the Blues, now consisting of only Legend and Ichabod. She heads inside the base and finds Thomas looking over a comatose Gates. The two conversate over his condition, with Claire seeing him as a brother. After Thomas questions why, Claire explains to him about her relationships with her teammates: seeing Miller as a cool and quiet guy with herd mentality and Thomas as nerdy cubicle worker. Thomas asks her about her relationship with Wilbur, in which Claire is reluctant to answer. Afterwards, Claire then explains her future plans to Thomas, telling him how she can take over now that Gates is out and Miller is getting pummeled by Wilbur. Suddenly, the two notice blood pouring out of Gates' helmet, in which Claire reacts by getting paper towels, while Thomas stands by Gates' side.
- During Jason and Dax's argument over the radio, Dax states, "Kale McCloud, the King of Rock." This is a reference to composer Kevin MacLeod, a musician that provides a majority of music to the series.
- It is revealed that Thomas is now aware of Miller lying to him about being Jason.
- Originally, the song "A Little Less Conversation" by Elvis Presley was meant to be featured at the beginning of the episode.
